That's so true that different people pick up different parts of the music. I often pick up lyrics first. Then the sound of the song. Sometimes I'll get caught on the sound/melody first- then lyrics. I met someone who NEVER listened to lyrics- it was funny to hear some of the songs they would listen to, and I'd hear the lyrics and be like "Do you even know what this song is saying?"- because often times the song was NOT the kind of lyrics this person would even align with, yet they loved the song. It's funny sometimes how that works for people.

My house holds all the heat in too- and spent quite a few summers without AC baking in the house. I did eventually get used to it. Last year I caved and got an AC, this year I finally plugged it in. :P I am glad I got it this year though, as I found out I have an overheating issue. But it's definitely quite an experience to challenge ourselves and see what we can endure or put up with or become comfortable with.
